The 35th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was celebrated in São Paulo

On September 21, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia took place in São Paulo, Brazil’s largest city.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Brazil, Armen Yeganian; the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in São Paulo, Hilda Diruhi Burmaian; the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Brazil, His Grace Bishop Narek Berberian; federal and state officials, representatives of the Armenian community, and guests.

In his speech, Ambassador Yeganian addressed the significance of Armenia’s Independence and its 35-year journey as an independent state. Speaking about Armenia–Brazil relations, he highlighted the high level of political dialogue between the two countries, the expansion of trade, economic and cultural ties in recent years, and the importance of developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The Ambassador also thanked the Armenian community of Brazil for its contribution to strengthening the ties of friendship between the two countries.
