A special screening of the film “Monsieur Aznavour”

To celebrate the Francophone culture and in honor of the longstanding friendship and close cultural ties between Armenia and France, the Embassies of Armenia and France in Brazil jointly organized a special screening of the film “Monsieur Aznavour”.

The event brought together members of the Brazilian Government, diplomatic corps, representatives of cultural and academic circles, as well as friends of Armenia and France, celebrating the shared values of the Francophone world and the deep historical connection between the two nations.

Prior to the screening, the Ambassadors of Armenia and France to Brazil delivered opening remarks. Ambassador of Armenia to Brazil Armen Yeganian noted in his speech: “Today’s event is also a celebration of the deep friendship between Armenia and France, built on shared history, culture and values.”

The film pays tribute to the legendary French-Armenian singer, songwriter, actor, and humanitarian Charles Aznavour, whose artistic legacy left an enduring mark on world culture. Widely regarded as one of the greatest chanson performers of all time, Aznavour was also deeply devoted to humanitarian causes and actively supported Armenia and the Armenian people throughout his life.
