An event marking the 34th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was held in São Paulo

On September 22, an event marking the 34th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was held in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was attended by Ambassador of Armenia to Brazil Armen Yeganian, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in São Paulo Hilda Burmaian, Primate of the Brazilian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Nareg Berberian, officials of the Municipality of São Paulo, representatives of the Armenian community of Brazil, cultural figures and invited guests.

As part of the celebration, a two-week exhibition by David Hakobyan dedicated to Armenia opened at São Paulo City Hall, showcasing works related to the country’s history, science, culture, and folk traditions. The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Armenia’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

During the event, Ambassador Armen Yeganian delivered a speech highlighting the historical significance of Armenia’s independence, the Armenian people’s commitment to democratic values, and the importance of strengthening friendly and partnership relations between Armenia and Brazil. He also expressed appreciation for the multicultural environment of São Paulo, where the Armenian community continues to play an important role.
