The 34th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was commemorated in Brazil

In the capital of the Federative Republic of Brazil, a festive concert dedicated to the 34th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia took place at the renowned “Teatro Poupex” concert hall. In a packed auditorium, the National Symphony Orchestra performed some of the finest works of 20th-century Armenian composers, including Komitas, A. Khachaturian, A. Babajanyan, A. Harutyunyan, E. Mirzoyan, E. Baghdasaryan, and others.
 
Armen Yeganian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Brazil, congratulated the audience on the occasion of the Independence Day. In his speech, Ambassador Yeganian reflected on Armenia's Independence, the democratic and economic reforms implemented in recent years, the country's dynamic development, its rich cultural heritage, as well as the steadily growing relations between Armenia and Brazil.
 
Afterward, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Ambassador Roberto Abdalla, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the political dialogue between Armenia and Brazil, highlighting the effective cooperation in international fora. Ambassador Abdalla also referred to the upcoming COP30 conference to be held in Brazil this November and to COP17, which will take place in Armenia next year, underlining the importance of joint efforts. He welcomed Armenia’s ongoing democratic reforms and its achievements in the economic sphere.
 
The event was attended by the officials of the Brazilian government, members of the diplomatic corps, public and cultural figures, business representatives, as well as members of the Armenian community.
