Ambassador Akopian presented his credentials to the President of the Federal Republic of Brazil

On August 19 Ambassador Arman Akopian presented his credentials to the President of the Federal Republic of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro in a ceremony held at the ''Palacio do Planalto'' Presidential Palace in the capital of Brazil.

The ceremony was followed by a talk between Arman Akopian and Jair Bolsonaro, also attended by Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Otavio Brandelli, as well as number of high-ranking officials of the Foreign Ministry and the President's staff.

Referring to the bilateral relations, the sides agreed that there is a significant potential and stressed the need for its full realization. President Bolsonaro praised the Armenian community in Brazil, noting that it could be a serious impetus for further rapprochement between the two countries.

Ambassador Akopian also made a note in the Book of Honorary Guests of the Presidential Palace.
